The College Application Process
Jun 23rd, 2007 by Academics Plus Tutoring
One of the most significant decisions a high school student will have to make is determining what college he or she wants to attend. With more than two thousand colleges and universities in the United States, how does a student choose? There are big and small schools, top tier and tier II schools, conservative and liberal schools, well known and not-so-well known schools…what is a student to do? Then once a student has created a list of schools in which he or she is interested, the application process begins. This two involves a multitude of factors and decision making steps. Students have to visit schools, conduct interviews, study for the SAT, write essays and fill out applications.
It can be overwhelming.
The Academics Plus Tutoring Center Blog will post college application entries on a regular basis. We will break the subject into small topic areas so that the information can be understood and applied. We’ll keep the information short and to the point, relevant and light…so stay tuned.
