How to prepare for the SAT?
Sep 11th, 2007 by Academics Plus Tutoring
Well, our suggestion is always to work with a veteran SAT tutor. Someone familiar with the exam, its format, and all the ins and outs involved. Working with someone can help provide structure, support and guidance as well as help you develop and maintain a consistent preparation schedule that you may not be motivated enough to keep up with on your own.
If you do not want to or cannot, for whatever reason, work with a SAT tutor, you can, if you stay focused and motivated, prepare on your own. We will be, on a weekly basis, posting tips on how to prepare for and do well on the SAT.The SAT Preparation Center on the College Board website is really a useful resource. There are many critical reading, math and writing questions on the site that you can use to hone your skills, as well as measure your familiarity with typical SAT questions.
Sign up for the question of the day! This is an excellent way to continually do REAL SAT questions. Doing actual questions made by the designers of the test is always the best practice, so utilize this great service. What is cool about it is that they will send the question to your email address each day, so you don’t have to remember to do anything. Each and every day, a qustion will simply show up!
